If a record is open to be edited, and the browser tab is inadvertently closed without clicking the Save or Cancel button, the record will now be locked for a period of time preventing anyone from editing the record. A new ‘Clear Your Locks’ command has been added to allow these false locks to be cleared. This command is available from the user menu in the upper right of the page.
Running this command will show a list of records you have locked. Select the one or more records to unlock and click on the ‘Clear Selected Locks’ button. Or, to remove all locks click on the ‘Clear All Locks’ button.
Important note: If you have a record actually open in a page and you clear the lock, it is possible edits you have made could be lost if another user opens and changes the record.
