Emailed Reports can be scheduled to run at pre-defined intervals, by following these steps:
- Go to Reports > Manage Report Schedules.
- Click the Add button.
- The New Report Schedule page will open. Begin by selecting the report you wish to schedule from the Report dropdown options.
- Select from the three options from the Send On dropdown to pick the scheduling cycle you wish to use and make sure that the Enabled checkbox is selected. You can select specific weekdays, a specific week day of the month, or a specific day of the month. You may also select whether or not to Send even if report has no data.
- The Select day(s)… option will change depending on the selection above. Make and preview your selection.
- Choose from the defaulted Time to update if needed.
- Select the report Attachments you wish to include.
- Choose from the options in the Send Via dropdown (Email is default).
- Enter one or more Email Addresses (comma separated) where the report is to be sent.
- The Email Subject will default. Edit if needed.
- If you wish to insert the data into the body of the email, click the Insert Table button. Note that some reports also have the option to insert an image into the email body.
- Update the Email Body from the default message or add additional text if desired.
- Click the Send Report Now button to immediately send the report. This can be helpful if you wish to test the report output.
- Click the Save button to automatically send the report at the designated timeframe(s).
